What Our Lockout Service Covers — Houses, Flats and Everything In Between
A standard Kenilworth semi-detached or terraced house typically has two locking points on the front door: a Yale-type nightlatch and a 5-lever mortice deadlock. Flats — whether in a converted period property near the castle or a modern block off Station Road — add a communal entrance door into the picture, so there are often two locks to consider. Our technicians are experienced with all of these configurations, as well as the multipoint locking systems found on uPVC and composite doors throughout newer estates and housing association properties in the area. Back doors present their own challenges too: uPVC patio doors and French doors use different hardware again, and we carry the tools and components for those as well.
Beyond straightforward lockouts, our house lockout service extends to situations where the lock itself is the problem. A euro cylinder that has been snapped — a known vulnerability that is unfortunately common on uPVC doors — will not open with any key, so entry and immediate cylinder replacement go hand in hand. Similarly, a frozen or seized mortice deadlock, a bent or broken key stuck in the barrel, or a multipoint mechanism that has dropped out of alignment can all leave you stranded. We handle each of these on the same call-out, so you are not left with a temporary fix that fails again at midnight.
